Hand Therapy
Hand Therapy at St. John¹s Sports and Therapy includes a comprehensive evaluation
by a certified hand therapist and treatment for those who have recently experienced
a hand injury. Individuals with disabilities of the hand, wrist, forearm, or
elbow as a result of injury or disease can greatly benefit from participation
in this program.
The injuries and disorders treated in the Hand Therapy Program
include (but are not limited to):
- Fractures
- Dislocations
- Joint
replacements
- Burns
- Amputations
- Arthritis
- Tendon
lacerations
- Ligament injuries
- Cumulative
trauma disorders
- Carpal Tunnel
Syndrome
- Cubital Tunnel
Syndrome
- Tendinitis
Splints may also be designed to protect the injured extremity or to encourage
increased motion.
Hand rehabilitation assists patients with their ability to perform everyday
activities, return to work, and regain control over their lives.
